Thursday, April 21

Friday, April 22
At 11:15 am: press conference at the offices of prominent East Bay attorney, John Burris at 7677 Oakport Street, Oakland, Suite 500, 5th Floor.

At 2:00 pm KPFA interview with Nora Barrows Friedman at KPFA headquarters. The taped interview will be broadcast on Flashpoints at 5:00 pm.

Lynne arrives at 6:30 pm and speaks at 7 pm SHARP at the opening session of the Attica to Abu-Ghraib conference at St. Joseph the Workers Church in Berkeley, 1640 Addison.

At 7:30 pm Lynne is the guest of honor at a 7:30 - 9:30 pm large dinner/reception/defense fundraiser sponsored by Barbara Lubin's Middle East Children's Alliance at 901 Parker Street at 7th Street in Berkeley. (510) 548-0542 Admission $15.00.

Lynne is the featured speaker at a 2:00 pm Marin Peace and Justice Coalition rally at First United Methodist Church, 9 Ross Valley Road at 4th Street (on the border of San Anselmo and San Rafael) (415-721-2844). Fundraiser. Wheelchair accessible.

At 5:15 pm: Cable TV interview with Lynne by Rod Lockridge at Mission Neighborhood Center, 362 Capp Street, SF. The interview takes place before 6:00 pm reception below.

On Saturday evening at 6:00 pm (reception) and 7:00 pm (rally) Lynne will speak at a rally ("Human Rights in Cuba vs. Human Rights in the United States") organized by several Cuba solidarity groups and others at Mission Neighborhood Center at 362 Capp Street, San Francisco. Contact: Patty Mote at: 415-647-3868. The meeting features talks by Isaac Saney, Trinidadian author of Cuba: A Revolution on the Move and Lynne. Admission: $10-$15 sliding scale no one turned away.

Sunday, April 24

At 2:00 pm: Lynne will be the featured speaker at a 2-5 pm, Mission High School mass rally (18th and Dolores, San Francisco) for Mumia Abu-Jamal - celebrating Mumia's birthday. The rally includes a concert by Michael Franti. Pam Africa will also speak as well as Mumia's lead counsel, Robert R. Bryan and Bay Area National Lawyers Guild Executive Director, Carlos Villarreal. This will be the main event of Lynne's tour. Mumia will record greeting for the rally. $20; $15 for students and seniors.

On Wednesday evening, 7:00 pm, at 145 Dwinelle Hall at the University of California at Berkeley Lynne will speak to a large rally sponsored by the National Lawyers Guild campus chapter, the Berkeley Stop the War Coalition, the ISO, Campaign to End the Death Penalty and others.
